Pick List Queue

Pick List - Queue

The Pick List Queue is the main workspace for orders that are ready to be picked.

From the queue, you can see recent Shopify orders, check picking progress, assign a picker, choose a picking mode, and start or continue picking an order.

Queue Overview

At the top of the page, Pick List shows a quick overview of the current queue:

  • Orders in queue shows how many orders are currently loaded.
  • Units to pick shows the total number of units across the loaded orders.
  • Orders in progress shows orders that have already been started but are not yet fully picked.
  • Barcode-ready lines shows how many order lines include a barcode.

This gives the warehouse team a quick view of current picking workload.

In Progress

The In Progress section shows orders where picking has already started.

Each card shows:

  • Order number
  • Pick progress
  • Assigned picker, if set
  • A progress bar
  • A button to continue picking

Use this section when a picker needs to return to an order that was started earlier.

Order List

The main order list shows orders from Shopify based on the date range selected in Settings.

Each order card includes:

  • Order number
  • Order date
  • Customer name, when available
  • Assigned picker
  • Shopify fulfillment and payment status
  • Suggested picking mode
  • Pick status
  • Number of units and lines
  • Picking progress
  • Product lines, expandable under View items

Click the Shopify order number to open the order directly in Shopify Admin.

Search

Use the search field to quickly find an order by order number or customer name. This is useful when the queue contains many orders.

Assigning a Picker

If pickers have been added in Settings, you can assign a picker before starting an order. This helps the team see who is responsible for each pick. If an order is already in progress, the assigned picker is shown in the queue and inside Pick Order.

Picking Mode

Before starting an order, choose a picking mode:

  • Hybrid lets the picker use both manual buttons and barcode scanning.
  • Scan is intended for barcode/SKU scanning workflows.
  • Manual is useful when products do not have barcodes or scanning is not required.

For most stores, Hybrid is the recommended default.

Starting or Continuing a Pick

Use Start picking to create a pick session for an order. If picking has already started, the button changes to Continue picking. If the order has already been fully picked, the button changes to Review pick.

Orders in Batch

If an order is part of a batch, the queue shows a notice on the order. This helps avoid duplicate work and makes it clear that the order is being handled through Batch picking.

Recommended Workflow

  1. Open Pick List Queue.
  2. Search or review the orders waiting to be picked.
  3. Assign a picker if needed.
  4. Keep Hybrid mode unless the workflow requires scan-only or manual picking.
  5. Click Start picking.
  6. Return to the queue later to continue any orders shown under In Progress.
