Settings

This document explains each setting available in Consortia Pick List and when a merchant may want to use it.

Settings Overview

The Settings page is divided into four areas:

• Order behavior
• Pickers
• Look and feel
• Pick options

Order behavior

These settings control what Pick List should do when a warehouse team starts or completes a pick.

When picking starts

Options:

• Do nothing
• Add tag: Picking

Recommended default:

• Do nothing

Use Add tag: Picking when you want Shopify Admin to visibly show that an order is currently being picked.

When picking completes

Options:

• Do nothing
• Add tag: Picked
• Mark as fulfilled automatically

Recommended default:

• Do nothing or Add tag: Picked

Use Add tag: Picked if you want a lightweight Shopify-side indicator without changing fulfillment state.

Use Mark as fulfilled automatically only if the merchant wants Pick List to affect order fulfillment flow directly and the app has the correct Shopify permissions.

Picking tag

Default value:

• Picking

This is the Shopify order tag that can be applied when picking starts.

Examples:

• Picking
• Warehouse Picking
• In Pick

Picked tag

Default value:

• Picked

This is the Shopify order tag that can be applied when picking completes.

Examples:

• Picked
• Ready to Pack
• Warehouse Picked

Pickers

Pickers let the merchant assign a person or station to a pick session.

Picker list

Add one picker per line.

Examples:

• Alex
• Maria
• Packing Station 1
• Warehouse Team A

Recommended use:

• use personal names for smaller teams
• use station names for larger or process-driven teams

Once saved, these names become available when assigning a picker in Pick Order and in the queue flow.

Look and feel

These settings control the visual appearance of the app inside Shopify Admin.

Pick List style

Options:

• Default
• Ocean
• Sunset

Recommended default:

• Default

Theme guidance:

• Default gives the cleanest balanced look
• Ocean adds blue accents with a light, calm surface style
• Sunset adds warm orange accents with a softer warehouse-style tone

Themes affect:

• Queue
• Pick Order
• Settings
• overview cards, progress colors, and accent surfaces

Pick options

These settings affect queue size, queue relevance, and operator workflow.

Orders per page

Options:

• 15 orders
• 25 orders
• 50 orders

Recommended default:

• 15 orders

Use a lower value for cleaner navigation and faster scanning by staff.

Use a higher value if the merchant wants to review a larger queue on one screen.

Load orders from

Options:

• Last 7 days
• Last 30 days
• Last 90 days
• Last 6 months
• Last 12 months

Recommended default:

• Last 30 days

This controls how far back Pick List should look when building the queue from Shopify orders.

Why this matters:

• reduces clutter in high-volume stores
• improves queue relevance
• avoids extremely large pagination in busy stores

Recommended guidance:

• Last 7 days for very active stores
• Last 30 days for most stores
• Last 90 days or more for slower-moving stores

Enable scanner sounds for success and failure

Options:

• enabled
• disabled

Recommended default:

• enabled

This adds quick audio feedback when a barcode or SKU scan succeeds or fails.

Best for:

• busy picking environments
• scanners used without constant screen attention

Hide fully picked lines by default in Pick Order

Options:

• enabled
• disabled

Recommended default:

• disabled for new users
• enabled for teams that want a cleaner active picking screen

When enabled, lines that are already fully picked are hidden by default in Pick Order.

This helps reduce noise for larger orders, while still allowing partially picked and open lines to stay visible.

Automation tips

Tag-based workflow

Use tags if the merchant wants a safe, visible Shopify-side status without changing fulfillment state.

Suggested setup:

• When picking starts: Add tag: Picking
• When picking completes: Add tag: Picked

Fulfillment-based workflow

Use automatic fulfillment only if the merchant has confirmed that warehouse completion in Pick List should also count as fulfillment in Shopify.

This should be tested carefully before production use.

Recommended Starter Configuration

For most merchants, a safe first setup is:

• When picking starts: Do nothing
• When picking completes: Add tag: Picked
• Picking tag: Picking
• Picked tag: Picked
• Pickers: add team names or stations
• Pick List style: Default
• Orders per page: 15
• Load orders from: Last 30 days
• Scanner sounds: enabled
• Hide fully picked lines by default: disabled
