Edit Order (pick block)

Shopify - edit order

The Pick List order block can be added to the Shopify order details page. It gives the merchant quick access to pick status directly inside Shopify Admin, without opening the full Pick List Queue first.

What The Block Shows

The order block can show:

  • Current pick status
  • Pick progress
  • Number of picked units
  • Assigned picker
  • A picker dropdown
  • Quick action to start or continue picking
  • Print pick list

This makes it easy for customer service, warehouse staff, or store managers to check whether an order has been picked.

Adding The Block

The block must be added manually in Shopify Admin.

To add it:

  1. Open a Shopify order.
  2. Click the + icon in the right sidebar.
  3. Select Pick List Status.
  4. The block will appear on the order details page.

Shopify controls this area, so the block may need to be added by the merchant in their admin layout.

Assigning A Picker

If pickers have been added in Pick List Settings, they can be selected from the dropdown inside the block. Changing the picker here updates the assigned picker for the order.

Picker changes are saved only when the picker is actually changed.

Starting Or Continuing A Pick

Use the action button in the block to start or continue picking the order.

The button changes based on the current status:

  • Start picking when no pick has started
  • Continue picking when the order is in progress
  • Review pick when the order has already been picked

Recommended Use

Use the Pick List order block when staff need a quick order-level picking status directly in Shopify Admin. For full warehouse picking, use the main Pick List Queue and Pick Order screens.
