Campaign Templates let you save frequently used campaign settings and product targeting, so you do not need to rebuild the same campaign every time.
Templates are useful for recurring activities such as Black Friday sales, seasonal promotions, category campaigns, clearance events, or regular price adjustments.
What a template saves
A template can store:
- Campaign type: Sale Campaign or Price Change
- Percentage, fixed amount, or exact sale price
- Increase or decrease direction
- Regular price, sale price, or both
- Existing-sale handling and automatic restoration options
- Included and excluded categories
- Included and excluded products
- Variation settings
- Batch size
- Job label
- A custom template name and optional internal notes
Dates are not saved
Campaign dates and start times are intentionally excluded from templates. This prevents an old schedule from being reused accidentally.
When you use a template, Campaign Engine opens a new pre-filled campaign. You must review the settings and choose fresh dates before scheduling it.
Create a template
- Open WooCommerce → Marketing → Campaign Engine → Schedule.
- Configure the campaign settings and product scope.
- Enter a descriptive template name.
- Optionally add notes explaining when or why the template should be used.
- Click Save as template.
Saving a template does not schedule or run the campaign.
Use a template
- Open the Templates tab.
- Find the template you want to reuse.
- Click Use template.
- Review the pre-filled campaign settings.
- Choose new start and end dates.
- Run the Campaign Readiness Check.
- Schedule the campaign when everything looks correct.
Manage templates
Each template card shows its campaign type, scope, amount, notes, and last updated time.
You can:
- Change the template name and notes using Edit details
- Load and update the full campaign configuration
- Use the template as the starting point for a new campaign
- Delete templates that are no longer needed
Deleting a template does not change existing scheduled, running, or completed jobs.
Tip: Use notes to document the purpose of a template, such as “Black Friday clothing categories” or “Quarterly supplier price increase.” This makes proven campaign setups easier for you and your team to reuse safely.
