Custom Post Types

Quick Find & Replace supports posts, pages, WooCommerce products, and the docs post type by default.

You can enable additional custom post types using the consortiaqfr_supported_post_types filter. This works in Free and Pro and requires no changes to the plugin’s files.

Enable a custom post type

Add the following PHP snippet using a snippets plugin such as Code Snippets, or through your own custom plugin:

add_filter( 'consortiaqfr_supported_post_types', function ( $post_types ) {
    $post_types[] = 'daily-lessons';

    return array_unique( $post_types );
} );

Replace daily-lessons with your registered post type key. Configure the snippet to run in the WordPress admin area or everywhere, then activate it.

Reload the editing screen. The Quick Find & Replace panel should now appear.

Enable multiple post types

Add each post type to the array:

add_filter( 'consortiaqfr_supported_post_types', function ( $post_types ) {
    $post_types[] = 'daily-lessons';
    $post_types[] = 'resources';
    $post_types[] = 'publications';

    return array_unique( $post_types );
} );

The default supported post types remain enabled.

Find your post type key

Open an existing item in the WordPress admin and check its list-screen URL. For example:

/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=daily-lessons

Here, the post type key is daily-lessons.

The registered key may differ from the name displayed in the admin menu or the public URL slug.

If the panel does not appear

  • Confirm that the snippet is active and runs in the admin area.
  • Check that the post type key is correct.
  • In the Classic Editor, open Screen Options and enable Quick Find & Replace.
  • Confirm that the post type uses a supported WordPress editor.

This filter enables the tool for the post type’s standard editor content. It does not automatically add support for custom fields or third-party editing interfaces.
